Science Online - a fabulous resource with lots of options. Search your topic, or browse theirs A to Z on the right. The Timeline feature can also help you choose a topic. Select the Biology Timeline and then limit the dates - maybe 1900-2024 - and scroll through the discoveries.
Today's Science - Go to Featured Topics on right, then Medicine and Health and then Medicine and History. Other topics also available. Also on the State Library of Kansas site.

Create a new project and sources from there.
